The Coalition for the Homeless of Nassau County is a non-profit organization committed to ending homelessness in our community. We provide emergency shelter, food assistance, job application assistance, housing assistance, and case management services to those in need. Our organization is made up of compassionate and dedicated staff members who are committed to helping homeless individuals and families achieve lasting stability.
Providing Hope For The Underserved
Here at Coalition for the Homeless of Nassau County, we are driven to do our part in making the world a better place. Since 2006, we have taken part in a wide range of activities that empower individuals and communities. The Coalition brings together local agencies, organizations, and individuals who are dedicated to working to prevent homelessness and improve conditions for those experiencing homelessness.
Together, We Can Change Lives
The mission of the Coalition is to prevent homelessness in Nassau County and to coordinate with other organizations to help homeless persons receive the services they need. It is also the mission of the Coalition with partners to create, fund and maintain individual programs in furtherance of this objective.
Throughout our lifespan we have been working toward new and innovative ways to ensure that the most vulnerable among us receive the services they need. We exist to ensure they can persevere.
WHO WE ARE
We are a non-sectarian, non-partisan non-profit. We represent a diverse group of volunteers from a variety of industries. We have been in existence since 2006 providing services in Nassau County.
WHAT WE DO
The Coalition serves as an incubator for those who have a vision to serve our community. Under the direction of our President and Board of Directors we vet programs and help them come to life.

Preventing and Ending Homelessness with Our Services
We offer a wide range of services to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. From providing access to basic necessities such as food and shelters our non-profit organization is dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome challenges and thrive. Explore some of the services we provide below.
Cold Night Shelter
The Coalition partners with the City of Fernandina Beach to offer a place to stay when temperatures drop below 42 degrees, offering respite and supporting local businesses. Located at the MLK Rec Center.
Day Drop-In Center
The Day Drop-in Center is open six days a week from 9 AM - 11 AM offering a light breakfast, lunch and access to basic necessities. The Center is located at 1005 South 14th Street, Fernandina Beach, FL.
Westside Expansion
The Coalition is actively working towards expanding our facility offerings to provide services to the Westside of Nassau County. You can help to make this expansion a possibility with your donation HERE
